Kathy is a self taught artist. She initially worked with oils on canvas, but now she paints with acrylics on masonite. She is a folk artist. New Hampshire's beauty originally inspired Kathy to paint idyllic pictures of rural, early American life. Now she often paints pictures of local Delaware scenes.

Kathy's paintings come alive with people and animals. She includes Jessica, as a child, with Phebe and Samantha, the yellow labs Jessica grew up with, in her works. The little red haired girl with the two yellow labs has become Kathy's trademark.

Purry the cat and a chocolate lab named Maggie Mae joined the family in New Hampshire. A yellow lab named Daisy came into the family in Colorado and the family adopted pound puppies named Chloe, Zachary, Zoey, Daisy, Zachary and Rosie in Delaware.

Boy and Otis (hamsters), Crazy Bird (parakeet), Squawky (grackel), Leonardo and Gabrielle (cockatiels), Sweety and Tweety (love birds), Phebe, Samantha, Purry, Maggie Mae, Daisy, Chloe, Zachary, Daisy,  have all passed away, but they continue to live on in Kathy's work.

Kathy and Brendan now live with Zoey and Zachary. Rosie was adopted by Nick.

Jessica has grown up and lives in Delaware. She has a daughter named Ever and twin boys named Castor and Wexford.

Purry, Maggie, Daisy, Chloe, Zachary, Zoey, Daisy, Zachary and Daisy often join Jessica, Phebe, and Samantha in Kathy's paintings. Kathy and Brendan have even shown up in a few pieces. Ever, Castor and Wexford have too.

Kathy has won several art awards in several states, but her greatest reward comes when people tell her that her paintings make them feel happy.
